Manhattan College ကို The Brothers of the Christian School(De La Salle Christian Brothers) မှ ၁၈၅၃ တွင် စတင် တည်ထောင်ခဲ့သော ပုဂ္ဂလိကကောလိပ်ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ Undergraduateလျှောက်လွှာပေါင်း ၃၄၈၅ လက်ခံရရှိလျက်ရှိပြီး Arts , Business, Education, Health Engineering , Science စသော ဘာသာရပ်များမှာ ထင်ရှားပါတယ်။
၂၀၁၉ Money magazine တွင် Manhattan college သည် နိုင်ငံတွင်း ထိပ်တန်း Transformative ကျာင်းအဖြစ် ဘွဲ့ ရရှိမှုနှုန်းနှင့် ကျောင်းသားဝန်ဆောင်မှုများအပေါ်အခြေခံ၍ သတ်မှတ်ခံရပါတယ်။ Payscale’s 2018 အရ ငွေကြေးမြှုပ်နှံသော ကျောင်းပေါင်း ၂၈၇၉ တွင် နံပါတ် ၇၈ တွင် ရှိပါတယ်။ ၂၀၁၅ Brookings Institution study အရ နိုင်ငံတွင် အကောင်းဆုံးကျောင်းများတွင် နံပါတ် ၉ တွင် ရှိပါတယ်။

Semester based တက်ရောက်ရပြီး 1st semester သည် August နှောင်းပိုင်းတွင် စတင်ပြီး ဒီဇင်ဘာတွင် ပြီးဆုံးပါတယ်။ 2nd semester သည် ဇန်နဝါရီလလယ်တွင် စတင်ပြီး မေလ လယ်တွင် ပြီးဆုံးပါတယ်။ Winter, summer တွင် တက်ရောက်နိုင်သော ဘာသာရပ်များလဲရှိပါတယ်။
